If outdoor family fun is on your list of things to do this weekend, Anthem’s annual spring fling returns this weekend in the community park.

Anthem Days ushers in a business expo, craft vendors, entertainment, food vendors and the always popular Frasier Shows carnival. Typically held in March, the annual festival was canceled in 2020 and pushed back to May this year in order to receive the appropriate permitting and green light from Maricopa County with regard to health and safety measures. Masks are not required, but encouraged, according to Anthem Community Council’s website.

The event, open to community residents and visitors, includes free admission and parking.

Tonight The carnival will operate tonight, Friday, April 30 from 6–9 p.m., with all-you-can-ride wristbands available at the booth for $25. For enhanced safety, masks will be worn by carnival staff, lines for rides will have 6-foot spacing and there will be extra spacing on the rides, according to council’s website. Carnival staff plans to sanitize the rides frequently.

Saturday & Sunday May 1 & 2 from 10–4 p.m. each day, visitors can stroll through the business expo and craft fair, and enjoy food and entertainment. The carnival will operate 3–10 p.m. Saturday and from 3–6 p.m. Sunday, with wristbands available for purchase for unlimited rides from 3–6 p.m. Wristbands will be available for purchase at the event or ahead of time at https://innovativeticketing.com/Events/.
