A new Fry’s Marketplace and Fry’s Fuel Center is planned for the approximate 12-acre site at the southwest corner of Jomax Road and Norterra Parkway.

With the closest Fry’s Marketplace at Dove Valley and I-17, the new store will fill a need in the burgeoning North Valley neighborhoods, including the fast-growing Union Park at Norterra.

Red Development is developing the site which also includes four pads with drive-through capability for restaurants and other businesses facing Jomax Road.

Construction is scheduled to begin in June on the 123,500-square-foot grocery store and fuel center, according to the grocery chain’s spokesperson Pam Giannonatti. The chain closed the deal on the $3.1-million parcel in March, according to Maricopa County records.

Fry’s could not yet speculate when the project would be completed.

Looks like an express car wash and Chick-fil-A are going to be in the same place!
