By Valley Vibe Staff Writers

If snow play is in your plans this season, here are a couple of cool places to hit if you’re looking to get your fill of that fluffy stuff.

Flagstaff Snow Park

Open Friday–Monday through Feb. 21, then Saturdays & Sundays for the remaining two weekends of the season ending on March 6.

Tickets must be purchased online and are available 2–7 days in advance depending on tubing run conditions.

Admission $14/Half day; $15/Night session; $21/Day pass

Details Includes tube rental and access to 4–8 tubing runs, including kiddie hill. Fire pits, food trucks, a picnic area and snow play areas when natural snow accumulation is adequate.

Info www.flagstaffsnowpark.com

Get There Take I-17 N to Flagstaff to exit 337, then take Fairgrounds Road to Brigade Road.

Oak Hill Snow Play Area

On the site of what was once an old alpine ski area, this snow popular play spot offers two sledding runs–a short run for beginners and a long, steep one for experienced sledders.

This is a free snow play area, so it’s best to check the weather conditions for adequate snowfall in Williams, AZ before you make the trek there. Sledders must bring their own gear, but just keep in mind that the Kaibab National Forest prohibits metal and wood sleds.

Restrooms and a warming shelter are located at the bottom of the hills, along with a fire pit and picnic tables.

Get There Take I-17 N to I-40 W 16 miles to exit 178. Turn right to Historic Route 66 and turn left for 4 miles to the Oak Hill Snow Play Area on the left.
