The highly anticipated opening of the Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store in Tramonto Marketplace is planned for Friday, June 14, and a grand opening celebration is planned all weekend. A ribbon cutting is planned for Friday at 6:45 a.m. and the doors to the store open at 7 a.m.
Since last year, the grocery chain has been working on the build out of its new 23,000-square-foot store in Tramonto Marketplace at I-17 & Carefree Highway, in the space formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond. A Sprouts location in the far North Phoenix Valley fulfills a long-time request from area residents over the past decade as the past several years have brought new single-family and multi-family construction to the area.
Small-Batch Coffee Cafe Inside
This new location includes a PRESS Coffee cafe inside the store and is opening in conjunction with the grand opening of the grocery store. To celebrate, PRESS is offering $1 drip coffee from Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16. All proceeds from grand opening weekend sales will be donated to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The first 50 cafe guests each day will receive a complimentary cold brew coffee can, courtesy of PRESS.
Samples and Giveaways
From Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16, a variety of activities will celebrate the grand opening. A “pop-up party” out front each day will give guests the chance to taste seasonal produce from the tasting bar and participate in a “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce.
The first 100 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free reusable bag filled with special products and samples. Plus, the first 400 guests will receive a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral on Friday. Inside the store, shoppers can taste new products while they shop.
More giveaways are planned throughout the weekend, and shoppers will have the chance to win a $500 Sprouts gift card up until midnight on June 16 when they sign up via the Phoenix-Carefree Hwy and I-17 store page on the Sprouts website.

Customers can text “PHX” to 777-688 to receive 20 percent off their purchase over the grand opening weekend (June 14-16) to use at checkout; up to two redemptions per Sprouts account per day.
