Years in the making, North Phoenix will officially be home to Fire N Ice Arena & Hotel.
On Thursday, Nov. 6, SSS Partners told Valley Vibe that the company secured and closed on its financing to bring the half-completed arena and hotel to completion, allowing construction on the campus to resume immediately.
After six years of limbo, including two near foreclosures under the first owners due to a total construction shut-down at the 10-month construction mark during the COVID-19 pandemic and inability to secure funding as the entertainment industry suffered severe impacts, the financing hurdle has finally been cleared for the complex at 2727 W. Bronco Butte Trail in Phoenix.
Plans also include housing a private high school and college prep school for young athletes.
“Closing on November 6 turns plans into action for North Phoenix. We’re building a true community sports destination anchored by a private academy that helps student-athletes reach the next level—while ensuring subsidized options for Phoenix and Arizona families,” SSS Principal Shubham Pandey told Valley Vibe.
