Ridgeline Academy Senior Asher Baker is one of eight students selected to serve as a state officer of the Future Business Leaders of America, a nonprofit education association which prepares high school, middle school and collegiate students for careers in business fields.
Asher joined FBLA in eighth grade, and has served in several roles, including chapter vice president, president, and now parliamentarian where he helps guide his local chapter, and will travel and visit other chapters, and attend conferences throughout the school year.
In order to be considered as a candidate for an FBLA State Officer role, the process involves obtaining written endorsements from chapter advisers, school administrators and a parent or legal guardian. Candidates must complete a screening interview, give a presentation, and take an FBLA knowledge exam. If selected to move forward to the campaign phase, candidates are required to have a campaign booth and deliver a speech at the State Leadership Conference in hopes of being selected.
Outside of FLBA, Asher is involved with several organizations, including Student Government, Youth and Government, National Honor Society, Model United Nations and Drama.
After high school, Asher plans to study constitutional law and has aspirations to serve as a Supreme Court Justice.

Ridgeline’s chapter earned Middle School Gold Seal Chapter recognition and Silver Champion Chapter honors, recognizing their dedication, leadership, and hard work.
