Banner Health has opened a new urgent care facility just south of Tramonto along Carefree Highway, providing care for non-emergencies, common illnesses, minor injuries and health issues requiring prompt attention. Banner Urgent Care Clinic opened in the medical office plaza just east of Mountainside Fitness at 2525 West Carefree Highway, Suite 156.
Medical staff at the clinic are fully equipped to treat colds, flu, minor cuts and burns, sprains, strains, and other ailments, according to a news release. Plus, X-ray exams can be performed to evaluate certain injuries.
“We’re excited to bring Banner Urgent Care’s offerings to this growing community and help people and their families to remain safe and healthy,” said Amanda Fisher, RN, director of Banner Urgent Care. “As Arizona’s leading nonprofit, fully integrated health system, we’re dedicated to preventing severe illness wherever possible, and our urgent care locations often play a key role in keeping people out of the hospital.”
The clinic also offers sports physicals, flu vaccines, and valley fever diagnostic testing for suspected cases.
Walk-ins are welcome, or patients can schedule a reservation online at urgentcare.bannerhealth.com or by calling 623-465-6020. The clinic is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Future North Phoenix Expansion Plans
In April, Banner Health purchased a vacant 18.81-acre parcel at the southeast corner of I-17 & Jomax Road for $22.13 million.
Valley Vibe reached out to Banner Health for comment, however officials said they didn’t have any news to share yet regarding future plans for the land.
Meanwhile, construction is progressing on the first phase of Banner Health’s Scottsdale medical campus, Banner Health Center plus, located at the southwest corner of Hayden Road and Loop 101. The 120,000-square-foot facility will include a surgery center, imaging, pharmacy and primary and specialty physician services. It is targeted for completion in early 2027.
Overall plans for the Scottsdale medical campus include future construction of a 640,000-square-foot hospital with 106 beds at initial build out.
